Snake.io is a mobile game turned console game as it recently released on Nintendo Switch. You guide your cute snake around the map, gobbling up glowing pellets to grow longer while avoiding other players.
Your goal is to be the biggest snake on the map and be crowned King Snake! To get there you can stop other snakes by darting in front of them or trapping them. Eating the pellets they leave behind will help you grow longer!
Unlock new colourful skins and costumes. Take part in Live Events, and work your way up the leaderboard. It’s one of those quick games for busy players who play cozy mobile games in their lunch break.

Snake.io, has indeed officially made its launch on Nintendo Switch for £6.99 last November 14, 2024 much to the delight amongst fans.
With its highly anticipated release, players are guaranteed an optimized gaming experience for handheld and docked modes with fast-paced battles and a highly competitive arena.
After dominating mobile platforms, the Nintendo Switch version of the highly addicting snake-eating game lets players access the wide range of colorful and customizable snake skins with highly improved graphics that can catapult them to the top of the leaderboards.

I can’t speak for how the game plays on Switch, but on mobile it’s incredibly easy to pick up and play without any need for a tutorial. Ads can get intrusive though if you find yourself dying a lot. But for just £2.79 on Google Play you can remove them.
Is Snake.io a Cozy Game?
As far as multiplayer games go this is casual enough for anyone to play. There are two modes on mobile – Ranked and Unranked. In Unranked you rarely come up against anyone who’s darting across the map or huge in size.
I could be wrong in saying this, but it felt like the other plays were NPC’s. Either way, it’s for sure the most casual way to play and would suit cozy gamers looking for a challenge.
I’ve been playing on ranked because I was getting too good for Unranked and ended up being the only big snake on each map!
It’s one of the best snake games I’ve played in recent years and why I keep coming back to it.
Snake.io is now available for download in the Americas, Europe and Asia through Nintendo eShop. And you can still play online or get it on mobile.
